My adventures in travel writing and photography kick-started after attending Great Escape Publishing’s live training workshops in New Orleans. This followed by V!VA Travel Guides travel guidebook-writing boot camp in the colonial city and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Antigua in the Guatemalan highlands.
Covering assignments in Antigua I became a contributing guidebook author for the first print edition of V!VA Travel Guides Guatemala. V!VA also published my travel articles, as well as my hotel, restaurant, language school, and tour operator reviews accompanied by my photos in the Guatemala section of V!VA Travel Guides website.
I regularly contribute to International Living’s print magazine, e-letters, conference promotions, and website as their Guatemala correspondent.
As a photographer, I sell the rights to use my images with multiple online stock agencies while also maintaining a fine art portfolio with Saatchi Art, the largest online art gallery and artist platform in the world.

I am a Cub Scout leader and we are trying to teach our boys about traditions outside the US. We would really like to teach them about the kite flying on Dia de Todos los Santos in Guatemala. Is there anyway you would give us your permission to use your photos? We don’t have computer access at Scouts, so we have to print off the pictures and put them on a poster board.
Most sincerely,
Suzie Sprowl
